Pretties on the Catwalk made by 10 and 11 Year Olds.

Well,  just as we hoped – our viewer came back for a second look this weekend and has fantastically made an offer on our house!  Now SOLD (Subject to Contract)!  I am thrilled because as I mentioned we were down in Nottingham again this weekend visiting friends at the Steiner School and being there again just confirmed for me how much I want for my kids there asap.  There is such Spirit put into everything that goes on there.We stayed over night with our new and very generous friends Kath & Jule’s who have been more than accomodating in allowing us to use their house as a base whilst we have gone about our research there.  Kath has been a saint by organising Girly Sleepovers so that my daughter (who will be in the same class as her daughter) can begin laying down foundations for new relationships before we get there.  I am blessed to have had so many good people in my life who have appeared to come forth to help at just the right time!  Synchronicities abound!

The party of girls busied themselves with some good olde fashioned craft activites making Sock Pets and munching treats into the early hours.  I am amazed at the brilliant creations which came forth with little or no instruction.  They all merrily beavered away with such stunning results!

‘Arazamataz! It’s got plenty of Jazz!’ I’ve experimented here with tons of new and unfamiliar techniques (to me!) including Golden Modelling Paste (for the background texture) and stiff foil which I indented and boot-polished. I’ve also added cheesecloth (around the foils) and embellished with silver thread and recycled old buttons from Mama’s sewing box. I think some of them have been around longer than me! 

All That Jazz! Close-Up

This is just a quick post today as I am off whizzing down to Nottingham. Going to the Steiner school Festival of Work for a visit to keep our kids familiar with the place before the Big Move there (hopefully) soon. And going to view some more houses too – ooooh excitement! We’ve got 2 viewings here at our on Sunday, one lady coming back for a second viewing! – So fingers crossed. x x

Me & My Gal.

I’ve completed this painting with such ease!!  And I have of course, (as expected) really enjoyed the process.  Making sure I have achieved being ‘in the zone’ before I have started has helped me work better and I have done this through my intentions (thoughts), listening to audio (music and spoken word) and setting the correct working environment with little distraction.   I’ve been trying hard this week to keep myself grounded and I have felt in touch with myself (my true self!) most of the time, which I feel is an achievement with so much uncertainty around me at the moment.  We went to view nine houses at the weekend and had four viewings of our home last week!  I think we have got definite interest in ours but we still have no where to go.  We are travelling down to Nottingham this afternoon to view another house and I’ve got a really good feeling about this one!   I’m excited!  It’s hard to stay in the moment and prevent oneself from living in a future projected world in times like this.

Whilst I have been painting in the last week I have been listening to John Demartini audio – a seminar he gave on ‘Business’.    It has taught me the importance about being inspired by what we do as work, and in turn inspiring other people through it.  He says “When we can’t wait to get up in the morning to serve, the world can’t wait to get our service.”  He also said “I found out whenever I am studying something that is inspiring to me and I can’t wait to deliver it, somehow the Universe brings more people to get it.”  This all struck a chord with me and even ties into what I developed as my purpose in life statement a year or so ago “………….(to) maximise and experience my human potential, moving out of the ego and into enlightenment, which in turn will help provide enlightenment to others which will help me (to)…………….”  I saw that my intentions would loop as a perpetuating cycle of improvement for everyone including myself.  Lets hope I am right. x

Watch out! It's a..........

Hooorah!!  The house-painting is all finished and the place has never looked so damn good!  We will be up for sale later this week hopefully.  Meanwhile, I have been back in the office this week (where my studio is also!).  A full day of doing accounts today (poop poop!) but yesterday I picked up a painting I started a couple of months ago and have started to have some luck with it (it wasn’t going too well!).  Will display it here later.  To keep me sane whilst I have been decorating I have made this little crafty piece.  A pen topper from felt!  (Thanks Lou for showing me how!).  I realised it looks “……A Bit of an Animal!“  It wasn’t my intention (and I don’t even really watch tele) but it finished up like the Pepperami mascot.  And me? A Vegetarian!!
